Designed primarily as a “Coin Purse” and Less Conspicuous to be carried on the belt where it is readily available in time of need. The MGL “Hot Tamale” V-2 is for spare change, but can also be to use as personal defense if necessary. As it a “Coin Purse”, it may possibly be carried where other lethal weapons are not permitted by laws. The Belt Loop of the “Coin Purse’ folds over the belt for secure carry and newly designed for better grip. This Hot Tamale V-2 is also secured by 2 snaps Durable DOT snaps. Filled with various denominations of coins, the Hot Tamale V-2 can weigh in the neighborhood of 13 ounces depending on the amount coins one fills.

Very thick and stiff leather with a heavy duty zipper, this coin bag will last. Fully stuffed mine holds about $18 in change 13 or 14oz after break in.
A little larger than it looks in the pics, I have medium hands and can put 4 fingers on the handle easily.

I love mine… only taken just short of a week to break it in to what I feel is it’s capacity. I’ve got 45$ worth of gold dollar coins in it. (Roughly 42.4oz)
Wears well on my 1.75” belt, the snaps are perfectly placed, and even given the weight it’s VERY comfortable to wear.
Deploying it takes no time, and it has some serious impact.

I recently purchased a V-1 coin pouch from Gene. I have never met him in person but spoke to him recently by phone. I found him to be very sincere , helpful, and friendly. I told him about my background as a retired police officer with damaged arthritic hands. He told me about his idea to add a retractable wrist strap which I promptly ordered. Long time use of this Hot tamale V-2 with years of use and carring change. Its shape is great espicaly for extremly non-permisive enviroments/countries and dosent draw any attenion when compared to other coin purses. Experimenting with where best to carry on the belt and I have found It’s rectangle shape is also perfect for pendix carry which other coin purses could not do due to their long downwards shape.
I highly reccomend this purse in extreme non-permisive enviroments and countries where weapon carry is frowned apon as other purses will not pass those enviorments.
